Honoured at the highest level
We are very pleased to announce that we have received two honours in the area of sustainability! These recognitions underline our vision of being a role model for sustainable and responsible corporate management in the luxury hotel industry.
Further steps towards sustainable luxury
After months of hard work, we are proud to have achieved the GreenSign Level 5 certificate. We were able to achieve over 90% of the points in the testing system recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). A top score!
GreenSign is recognised as Europe's leading sustainability certification for hotels with five levels, with Level 5 setting the most demanding criteria. Holders of the GreenSign certificate stand for sustainable management that harmonises ecological, social and economic aspects. A comprehensive audit, which checks over 100 criteria in eight key areas, confirms compliance with the highest social and environmental standards in accordance with the GSTC guidelines. To obtain and maintain certification, a new audit is required every three years.
Sustainability is the most important strategic basis for the future development of South Tyrol.

The vision “South Tyrol: the most desirable sustainable living space in Europe” was supplemented by the South Tyrol sustainability label in 2023. A total of 3 levels characterise the sustainable efforts of businesses and destinations. SEELEITEN has now achieved level 3!
As the holder of the highest level, we fulfil all nine criteria with regard to ecological, social and cultural aspects. The use of local products and cooperation with craft businesses from South Tyrol are emphasised. This makes us one of a small number of businesses in South Tyrol to have achieved this label.
